Recipients of Friend of the Elderly Award 2024
Edwin and Margaret Lee have generously supported Self-Help for the Elderly for nearly two decades. From simple beginnings, they wish to share their success with the Asian community by contributing to programs directly benefiting the elderly, people with dementia, and immigrants. As a result of their efforts, Self-Help for the Elderly has been able to continue its high-quality senior living facilities, vital nutrition programs, and meaningful activities for the elderly. Through their private foundation, Edwin and Margaret Lee wish to make a difference by uplifting and enriching the lives of others.
President Aaron Peskin is currently serving his fifth non-consecutive term on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. During his previous terms in office, Supervisor Peskin was a leader to preserving and expanding affordable housing in District 3 and citywide. Additionally, Supervisor Peskin is an ongoing collaborator and supporter of Self-Help for the Elderly’s eldercare services for the community.
